Latest update – Sony DADC have actioned their Business Continuity Plan and are back up and running from a new control room in Enfield. PIAS continue to work with them to minimise the impact on the business, a number one priority for all our labels and clients. Sony DADC have identified a temporary distribution partner and it is envisaged that they will be in a position to pick, pack and ship orders in the course of next week.

This follows an earlier statement regarding a fire last night at the SonyDADC warehouse, which services the physical distribution for PIAS in the UK and Ireland. PIAS’s UK offices in London and all other areas of our business are unaffected.

Further details will follow tomorrow morning, Wednesday.

Singer-songwriter Roy Aernouts heeft een eerste album klaar. Als trio toerde Roy Aernouts met Craig Ward (ex-dEUS) en Hannes d’Hoine (DAAU) de afgelopen jaren in het Nederlandse cabaretcircuit. Na het afschudden van de bindteksten drijven de liedjes boven.

BOY ROY serveert snedige teksten vol vernuft in spannende kleedjes van uiteenlopend allooi: rocksongs in perspectief, ballads met ballen, chansons sans frontières.

Tegelijkertijd start het Belgische luik van zijn theater tour ‘De Parabel van het Probleem’.  Na een succesvolle tournee in het Nederlandse cabaretcircuit zaait Roy Aernouts nu ook problemen in eigen land. Leuk probleem voor de vakjesdenker:  muzikaal theatraal cabaret is géén comedy.

‘The Death Of You And Me’ marks songwriter Noel Gallagher’s first release in almost three years.

The single precedes the highly anticipated album “Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds” which will be released October 17.

Co-produced by Noel and David Sardy, the album was recorded in London and Los Angeles and will feature 10 brand new Noel Gallagher songs.

The album “Eleonore” will be released in Germany, Switserland, Austria and France in october.
On the 1st of september, the band plays a first preview-concert in Paris, on the Pias Nite @ la fleche d’Or. And already next week, the band will leave Belgium to play some shows as support act for the US-band Two Gallants in Germany and Switserland.

Dez Mona is working on a new album and show entitled “Saga”. The premiere (Klarafestival – Flagey Brussels / DeSingel Antwerp) and the release of the album are scheduled for September, but the rehearsals are now underway in the Singel – Antwerp and can be followed via a daily blog www.dezmona.com/blog . An important aspect of this project is the collaboration with artists from different disciplines such as Nick Andrews, a British painter stranded in Antwerp who will literally color the show, Jan Pauwels: a light artist, designs an installation that will form part of the set, Veronique Branquinho: who makes the costumes, Jeroen Olyslaegers writes a story / novella about Saga. Musically Dez Mona forms a partnership with BOX (a baroque ensemble).
The group is also working on the soundtrack of a French film (Une Estonienne a Paris) with the legendary Jeanne Moreau in a lead role. For this, tracks from the previous album ‘Kommt Hilfe “are edited and one or more new songs are being recorded. The film will participate in the competition at the Berlin Film Festival 2012.

Now we’ve added the Dranouter Festival to the festival list for the Bony King of Nowhere, we can anounce the complete summer festival schedule. And with some very nice festivals (Dour, Francofolies, Brussels Summer Festival, Deep in the Woods, Pukkelpop) it looks really good. Be sure to catch the Bony King on one of these dates!

If you’ve placed a finger on the pulse of electronic music at any point over the last five years, it’s safe to say you’ll have encountered Apparat in one form or another. Sascha Ring, the Berlin artist who records under that name, has been a restless force in contemporary electronic music for a decade. In that time he’s released three acclaimed Apparat albums – the fourth, The Devil’s Walk, arrives in the autumn of 2011.
