New MUTE signing: YANN TIERSEN
Mute are delighted to announce the signing of Yann Tiersen and the release of his brand new, long awaited album, Dust Lane, out in 4 October 2010.
Hailing from Brittany, Yann Tiersen is one of the most revered artists of his generation with a reputation first established by his studio albums (which include 1998’s Le Phare and 2005’s Les Retrouvailles) and cemented by his work on the original film score of Amelie (2001) which earned him widespread recognition.

EDITORS single “No Sound But The Wind” (live at Rock Werchter 2010) available on iTunes
Editors released a stripped down live version of “No Sound But The Wind” on iTunes. This version was recorded at the Rock Werchter festival in Belgium on July, 2nd 2010 where they played a memorable show in front of 70.000 people.
A sure fan favourite, it now receives its own iTunes release with this powerful acoustic version via Kitchenware / [PIAS] Recordings.

FAITHLESS receives GOLD record at Rock Werchter
[PIAS] Belgium recently awarded Faithless a gold record at the Rock Werchter festival for their latest album The Dance, which sold in excess of 15 000 copies in the first month.
The award came as a total surprise to both Maxi (who has just arrived after doing press in Amsterdam and getting stuck in traffic) and Sister Bliss. Afterwards they went on to play a fantastic headlining slot in what turned out to be the hottest Rock Werchter ever.
TV and radio support for the band’s latest effort is strong and still growing, and going into the summer the [PIAS] Belgium will do what they can to push The Dance to the next milestone, which is a platinum record…
