BIG WETT is the name on everyone’s lips. The enigmatic electro-pop sensation is taking the Australian dance music scene by storm with her 90s inspired dance beats, explicit lyrics, and thumping live show. Her songs are tinged with undertones of queer pride, femme power and sexual empowerment, making her one of the moment’s most intriguing new artists with an overwhelming stage presence and personality to match.

The artist now announces her 7-track debut EP ‘PU$$Y’ set for release September 22 via London label Play It Again Sam, and will be playing the body of work in its entirety across a string of UK venues in May. Written during a period of great boredom in lockdown, the artist wanted to make her own X-rated blend of dance music as a way to entertain herself first and foremost, but before long it was catching the attention of fans and tastemakers far and wide. This musical outlet soon became an opportunity for her to celebrate sex and queer culture, creating a safe space for people to party and enjoy slutty music without judgment.

“BAGS is a daily affirmation. Feeling sad, BAGS is the song. Need a pep talk? BAGS is the song."

The follow-up track to the hotly-received ‘NUMBER 1 PUSSY’, the trailblazing artist is back with another sultry beat-driven party anthem in ‘BAGS’, a surefire festival favourite that oozes sass, confidence and sex appeal. On the track, BIG WETT adds: “BAGS is a daily affirmation. Feeling sad, BAGS is the song. Need a pep talk? BAGS is the song. This is your new secret weapon to being amazing.” Fast becoming one of the hottest names emanating from Australia, she is now coming for the rest of the world with her own unique sound.

The Australian creative’s journey began when she uploaded her first ever demo online in December of 2021, and within a few days she had a multitude of industry heads paying attention, as well as amassing die-hard fans far and wide. In just a short space of time, BIG WETT was playing regular gigs across the country, with her live shows inspired by the dark depths of nightclub dance floors, strip clubs and drag shows.

Drawing comparisons to the likes of Peaches, Kim Petras, Uffie and COBRAH, the artist is creating a unique space of her own. Having supported Confidence Man, Channel Tres, Northeast Party House and performed a prime-time slot at the Meredith Music Festival, by the end of 2022, tens of thousands had witnessed her thumping live show. With plenty of future live dates in store, and an appearance locked in at The Great Escape festival, many more are soon to be entranced by the enigma that is BIG WETT. There is no stopping this hugely exciting new talent until the ultimate goal is achieved – world domination.
