To people who have never heard your music before, which track or video of yours would you suggest they start off with – and why? Club culture

Summer is a-coming. What has been your best festival memory as a visitor, and what was it that made it stand out? I went to a festival called Meadows In The Mountains in Bulgaria. It was a 20-hour trek to get there and set up. It was incredible, proper hippie and chill. Every morning we would bathe and wash in a fresh stream. The sun would come up in the clouds as a crazy tune played, that was a very festival experience highlight for me.
And what would be your dream festival to play yourself? Glasto!!!! Pyramid stage as the sun sets.

Who/what do you regard as the 3 biggest influences on your music? Musically, 3 of our biggest influences would be; Faithless, Nine Inch Nails and The Amazing Snakeheads though our influences go really far and wide. However, our biggest and most prominent influence and inspiration comes from those around us - our families, partners and friends. Summer is a-coming. What has been your best festival memory as a visitor, and what was it that made it stand out? Theres so many to choose from, personally remembering my first trip to TITP when I was 16. But as a group, our first festival back at the game was Latitude in 2021. I remember us all standing together, with the people closest to us, whilst the rain poured watching The Chemical Brothers. It was a true full-circle moment (another one of our big influences too!). And what would be your dream festival to play yourself? I think collectively we’ve all dreamed of playing Glastonbury, like most young aspiring musicians do, and this year we get to realise that dream.

CHILDE

HOW WOULD YOUR BEST FRIEND(S) DESCRIBE YOUR MUSIC? I got a few answers from my friends... Most of them are too nice: "I feel invested in every song, which for the most part are adrenaline-fuelled emotional rollercoasters, for me at least. And Bad Ideas just gets me plain old hyped-up" / "Nostalgia soaked anthems that you want to play loud and singalong to while driving in the summer". I prefer…. "Powerful softie". TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER HEARD YOU MUSIC BEFORE, WHICH TRACK OR VIDEO WOULD YOU SUGGEST THEY START OFF WITH - AND WHY? Maybe a song called ‘two thirds’ to get an idea for the feeling, or ‘you there’ from my first EP reflects the storytelling.

Summer is a-coming. What has been your best festival memory as a visitor, and what was it that made it stand out? My best festival memory is probably when I was about 14 and I had forced my Dad to accompany me and my 2 little friends for a day. He was a good sport but towards the end of the evening he ran out of patience and he was trying to get us to want to go home. Kendrick Lamar was playing and I have a distinct memory of him saying “no we’re not staying for That Twat Lamar”. Me and my friends joke about it now whenever a Kendrick Lamar song is playing.
