London and Paris, September 10th 2026 – [PIAS] has relaunched Source, the influential label associated with artists including Air, Phoenix, Kings of Convenience, Turin Brakes and Simian, with its UK and French teams jointly leading A&R and creative direction.

The revived Source will have an international focus from the outset, combining the A&R expertise and local networks of [PIAS] France and [PIAS] UK with [PIAS]’s global infrastructure to discover, develop and build audiences for artists across multiple markets.

The first four signings to the new-look label are Ifulki, Disgusting Sisters, Epal and HINA, establishing an eclectic roster spanning alternative pop, electronic music, rock and influences from across different cultures and genres.

Source originally established itself at the turn of the millennium as a home for distinctive, forward-thinking artists, releasing records from Air, Phoenix, Kings of Convenience, Turin Brakes and Simian among others. [PIAS] represents parts of the original Source catalogue, providing a direct link between the label’s history and its next chapter.

Rather than recreating the original label, the relaunched Source will take its founding spirit of discovery into a new generation. Operating under the banner “We Grow Loud”, the label will focus on creative freedom, artist identity and community, giving artists the space and support to develop on their own terms while building sustainable international careers.

The joint UK-France structure is designed to give Source a genuinely cross-border approach to A&R and artist development, bringing together the two teams’ respective networks, perspectives and expertise while drawing on [PIAS]’s wider global resources

Kenny Gates, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of [PIAS], said, “Source has a fantastic history, but this isn’t about trying to recreate the past. It’s about taking the spirit that made the label special – discovering distinctive artists, trusting their vision and giving them the time and support to develop – and applying that to a new generation.

Bringing our French and UK teams together around Source gives us another way to do that, and these first four signings are a great indication of the ambition and breadth we want the label to have.”

The first signings under this new structure are: Ifulki are a London-based trio bringing together Gnawa influences, electronic music and live instrumentation. Vocalist Kaltoum, bassist and synth player Charlie and drummer Ayman draw on their different cultural backgrounds to create music centred on connection and belonging.

Disgusting Sisters are Jules and Josie, sisters raised between France and the UK and now based in London and Paris respectively. Their music combines electro, pop and rock, informed by a shared love of emo, horror films and irreverent humour.

Epal began her career performing the songs of Barbara before developing her own material. Her music brings together synths, piano and trap influences around deeply personal songwriting.

HINA makes alternative pop exploring identity, independence and the freedom to define yourself, pairing direct lyricism with unconventional structures and arrangements.

These four artists will release new music through Source as the label begins its next chapter under the combined direction of [PIAS] France and [PIAS] UK.
